Overview
Created for Delta Air Lines’ 100-year anniversary rooftop event in Las Vegas, this interactive installation reimagined the classic tower viewer through a contemporary VR experience. The goal was to create a tactile and visually elevated piece that connected themes of aviation, skyline observation, and travel while giving guests an immersive alternate view of the city through a concealed Meta VR headset.

Design Direction
The design blended vintage observation equipment with a more refined contemporary finish. Inspired by old skyline viewers and navigation instruments, the piece featured a brass body, reeded pedestal, and compass-inspired detailing integrated into the quartz countertop surface.

MATERIAL DETAIL — QUARTZ + BRASS
A major focus was creating a seamless balance between analog and digital — something that felt timeless and mechanical at first glance, while quietly housing immersive modern technology within the structure.

Execution
My role focused on developing the installation in full-scale 3D while engineering a concealed internal chamber capable of housing the Meta VR headset and wiring cleanly within the operable viewing head. Multiple material and finish studies were explored before arriving at the final brass-forward aesthetic.

The final installation became a blend of sculptural object, interactive experience, and functional hardware — designed to feel equally architectural, nostalgic, and futuristic within the rooftop event environment.
