Overview
Designed for Manchester-based AI data company Matillion for Snowflake Summit 2025 in San Francisco, this 30’ x 30’ trade show environment transformed themes of intelligent data systems, futurism, and exploration into a fully immersive brand experience. The booth featured interactive demo stations, presentation areas, illuminated architectural elements, and MAT-1 — an 8-foot astronaut installation designed as the centerpiece and primary photo moment within the space.

The visual language blended retro-futurist and industrial sci-fi influences through angular geometry, illuminated framing,
rounded architectural forms, and layered green lighting integrated throughout the environment. One of the primary design challenges was translating Matillion’s signature green brand palette into something cinematic and futuristic while
maintaining strong brand recognition.

The final environment leaned into glowing edges, modular forms, and mission-control inspired detailing to create a space that felt immersive, interactive, and visually distinct within the crowded trade show floor.

Execution
My focus centered on concept development, full-scale 3D modeling, environmental visualization, and fabrication-ready build documentation for production. The project involved coordinating multiple fabricated elements including the illuminated steel light tunnel, custom millwork structures, foam-fabricated astronaut, integrated LED systems, and miniature 3D-printed astronaut collectibles displayed throughout the booth.
MASCOT PROPS — BUILT INSTALLATION
I also assisted in the physical development and assembly of key assets, including portions of the astronaut fabrication process. The final installation became a highly recognizable centerpiece for the client and successfully translated Matillion’s AI-focused identity into a memorable experiential environment.
