Overview
Designed as a temporary retail activation on the way to Coachella, PACSUN Station explored the idea of transforming a 20-foot shipping container into a cinematic roadside destination. The goal was to create
something bold enough to function as a visual landmark within the open desert landscape while still feeling
aligned with PACSUN’s modern retail identity.

FRONT PERSPECTIVE - CONCEPT RENDER
Design Direction
The concept drew heavily from Route 66 roadside attractions, vintage gas stations, and Southwestern desert architecture. Oversized signage, warm lighting, and weathered desert tones helped establish a nostalgic atmosphere, while the cleaner interior retail displays introduced a more contemporary contrast familiar to the PACSUN brand.
A major part of the design process was balancing retro and modern aesthetics without leaning too heavily into either direction.
The result became a blend of old Americana and contemporary fashion culture — designed to feel both timeless and slightly surreal against the desert backdrop.

EXPERIENCE PERSPECTIVE — CONCEPT RENDER
The entire activation was designed around the dimensions and constraints of a real 20-foot shipping container, allowing the structure to function as a mobile and secure retail environment for festival deployment. My role focused on concept development, full 3D modeling, scale coordination, and ensuring the design remained fabrication-conscious throughout the process.

Although the project ultimately remained conceptual, it became an opportunity to explore how branding, architecture, and environmental storytelling could merge within a compact experiential footprint.
